Good luck to the Seniors as they move on and for those coming back get ready for next year-the bar has been raised.

Congratulations to the Boys Basketball Team as they were victorious over Blue Ridge on Senior Night last night.

I have emailed a number of parents about their Child's participation in the Math Competition Saturday at Parkland. Please let me know if the student can or cannot make it, so we can find replacements if need to.

Big Win!

"The STM Girls Basketball Team defeated #6 ranked in the State Bismark-Henning last night 44-34. It was a game of runs for the Sabers as they started the game on a 10-0 run but watched their lead slip away going in to the half down 19-16. The Sabers regained the lead in the 3rd quarter and then started out the the 4th quarter on an 8-0 run to control the game down the stretch. The Sabers went 12-14 from the free throw lines in the 2nd half with Caitlin Lowry and Brittany Einck each going 5-5 from the charity stripe. Brittany Einck had 15 points to lead the Sabers in scoring. Kassie Jone had her 11th double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Caitlin Lowry had 9 points and 11 rebounds off the bench for the Sabers. The Sabers who are now 22-5 and close out the regular season on Thursday night against St. Joseph-Ogden. Come cheer on our girls as we say good-bye to our Seniors and with a victory the team will be undefeated in Conference play. Good Luck Ladies!"

Busy Weekend!

The Lady Sabers wrapped up the SVC Regular Season Championship by defeating CPCI on Saturday (JV improved to 10-10 as well)! The Sabers go for an undefeated conference record Thursday as they take on St. Joe on Senior Night. Tomorrow they face State Ranked Bismark-Henning at STM. Come out and support the Sabers!

The Illini got back to their winning ways yesterday over Iowa 64-52 (in front of His Airness, Michael Jordan, nonetheless). The Illini are only one game out of first place in the Big 10!

In case you missed it last night-what Super Bowl! Mr. Schreder's prediction of 27-20 Steelers, was awfully close as Big Ben led the Steelers to a game winning TD to win Super Bowl XLIII 27-23. My favorite commercial was the E*trade Baby giving Golf Tips to the Older Gentleman. There also looks like some good movies that will be coming out this summer!

Hopefully this week is actually a full week of classes! Friday is the end of the midquarter. All Algebra Students recieved a grade handout from me (parents ask to see it!) This will show them where they are at in the class and where they can improve on. The rest of my classes will receive a handout before Friday as well.

Groundhog Puxatowney Phil saw his Shadow today so six more weeks of winter!

Today is the Feast of the Presentation of Our Lord. Pope Benedict's general prayer intention for February is: "That the pastors of the Church may always be docile to the action of the Holy Spirit in their teaching and in their service to God's people".

Enjoy the week! GO Sabers and Go Illini!
