Midquarter and helpful tips

Midquarter was Friday and Freshman Theology students are REQUIRED (homework assignment) to print out a copy of their Theology grade and have it signed by their parent. This is their "ticket" for taking the test Wednesday!

Test Wednesday over Cain & Abel to Abraham.

"Back to School Tips" from an Article in the News-Gazette

  • Make it clear to your child that disobedience is not an option. Good Behavior begins in the home, not at school.
  • Assign your child a fair share of the day-to-day housework. Teachers say the best students are usually those who have daily chores at home. The more responsible a child is within his family, the more responsibility he or she will demonstrate at school.
  • Limit electronic entertainment to non-school days only, and even then to no more than 5 total hours a week.
  • Be always interested in what and how your child is doing in school, but take care not to get involved in doing the work.
  • If and when your child's teacher reports a problem, give the teacher the benefit of the doubt. When a teacher says your child has a problem, academic or behavioral, it is with your child's best interest in mind.
Have a great week-next week is Homecoming; so boys man up and ask a girl to the dance!

Mid-Quarter is Near

Tomorrow is the Mid-Quarter-the school year is flying by. Students can always check their grades on RenWeb to see where they are at.

Freshman Theology will be having a Test on Wednesday 9/23!

Other School Announcements:
Freshman Homecoming Float:
We want to make sure parents are aware of the freshmen float
workdays. An attempt was made to select various days of the weeks in
the hope that EVERY freshmen can find at least one day that fits into
their schedule - making it truly the work of the entire Class of 2013.

The float will be built and housed in the family farm of Lee & Sandy
Eichhorst (grandparents of Sean Kelley - Class of 2013). They live at
309 East Leverett Rd, Champaign.

DIRECTIONS: From STM: Take I-57 North to the next exit (Leverett Rd).
Turn right off the ramp. At the bottom of the hill, turn left. Follow
that road approx 1/2 mile. You'll see the farm on the right side of
the road (yellow farm house & outbuildings, red barn.) We'll be
building the float in the red barn.

The Homecoming football game is Friday, October 2nd.

More information will follow as we coordinate transportation and
other details. Thanks for encouraging your freshman's participation.

Female student have the option to wear a uniform crossover tie or uniform conventional tie. Male students must wear a uniform conventional tie. To rent a tie will cost $5.00. Students not in compliance will be disciplined and sent home to change.
