Parents are asked to bring Pizza/Snacks/Drinks for the students on Saturday Night's Building Time. Parents are also asked to come with their student to help supervise. Also, the Freshman Class is looking for donations to help pay for the cost of the materials; please give any donations to Mr. Schreder in an envelope with your child's name on it.

Directions to Lee Eichhorst farm:
From STM, get on I-57 North 2 miles. Take the Market Street Exit 240.
Turn Right onto Market Street. Go to bottom of exit ramp.
At the bottom of the ramp, turn Left onto Leverett Road.
Our farm is about 1/2 mile ahead on the right - red barn, yellow house and buildings.

Homecoming & More!!!
Please see the Homecoming Float post for work dates and directions to the work site-the first work date is Sunday September 26th!
Extra-Credit Opportunities:
1. The Lee Roessler Band is coming to St. Matthew's on Sunday September 26th @ 3:30 and will be performing a concert for the area youth groups. Mass and a spaghetti & meatball dinner will follow the concert. Students may receive extra credit by coming to the concert, mass, and the dinner. After the dinner, students will need to sign in w/ Mr. Schreder before they leave to get credit.
2. Pope Benedict XVI will be returning to the Vatican after his Papal Visit to Britain over the weekend. Find a news article from online or print and type a 1 page summary/reflection on the Pope's visit. You need to include the following: what the Pope did in Britain, the purpose of the visit, why the visit was important, etc. Be sure to follow the writing format-these will be due by Friday September 24th and WILL NOT be accepted after the due date.
